There have been varying fortunes for our teams at the Cheshire FA Amateur Cup this weekend.
Lostock Gralam’s run continues after beating Govan Athletic 3-2 thanks to a brace from Ryan Jackson and another goal from Myles Wadey.

Unfortunately, they will not be joined in the fourth round by Winnington Avenue 1994 as they succumbed to top league opposition by losing 2-0 to Vauxhall Motors Reserves.
Back in the Cheshire Football League, Middlewich Town’s winless streak spanned five games as they drew 1-1 at home against Poynton, with Ste Hughes on target for the Witches.
In Reserve League One, the Middlewich Town Reserves lost 3-1 to their Poynton counterparts, with Sam Wakefield scoring Middlewich’s only goal.
Things were much better for the 1994 Winnington Avenue Reserves, who claimed seven of seven Reserve League Two victories to beat the Crewe FC Reserves 6-0 at Moss Farm.
Callum Herbert scored twice with John Buckley, Shane Davies, George Kirby and Jaymie Roberts also on the scoresheet.

“It was a solid performance in all aspects of our game,” said manager Gary Lee Jamieson.
“We’ve made sure our backdoor is always closed to give us the foundation for our fluid attack to do what it does best.
“We’re just going to keep plugging in now and taking it game by game.”
