CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) – A vaccination clinic will be held Friday, October 8 during the Forest Hills vs. Westmont Hilltop football game from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Pfizer vaccine will be administered by Highlands Health during the football game hosted at Forest Hills Football Stadium, according to the Forest Hill Facebook page. A parent / guardian must be present for those under 18 receiving the vaccine.
First doses, second doses and booster vaccines (for those who are eligible) will be available. The dates and times of the second dose will be provided to people receiving their first dose.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, a Pfizer vaccine booster is available for certain adults who were fully vaccinated with Pfizer at least six months ago, including:
- People 65 years of age and over and residents in long-term care facilities
- people aged 18 to 64 with underlying health problems
- people aged 18 to 64 who are at increased risk of exposure and transmission to COVID-19 due to their professional or institutional environment
The Cambria / Somerset COVID-19 Task Force, in an ongoing effort to coordinate vaccine distribution, has partnered with Highlands Health, Cambria County Emergency Services Department, Forest Hills School District, in Westmont School District and the 1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health to coordinate the event. .
