Joint Sunderland injury update shared ahead of Gillingham trip

Aiden McGeady is in contention for Sunderland this weekend, although they will be without several players for the game against Gillingham.

And, there was mixed news on that front, with assistant Jamie McAllister providing an update on multiple team members. by talking to the club’s official website.

The only one where we maybe have a slight problem is Leon Dajaku, who we are just watching for now. Aiden trained this morning and he’s doing well. He’s been doing a lot of work the last 10 days, he still feels it a bit every now and then in some movements, so we’re just going to watch him over the next 48 hours and see how he’s doing on the weekends..

Lynden has been running for the past few days so he’s doing well too. Saturday will probably come a little too early for him. “

Elsewhere, Luke O’Nien will return, but the game will come too soon for Corry Evans and Nathan Broadhead.
