Residents of Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds and surrounding areas are invited to Husky Stadium at the University of Washington on Saturday, September 3 for Community Night: the varsity’s first home football game of the season.
Participating communities and individuals will receive special discounted tickets and the chance to represent their own community in the game against Kent State University.
“Fans are encouraged to wear clothing that represents their community and. . . to invite people within their community to join,” said Emily Brown, UW PAC-12 Sales Account Manager. “The main goal is to invite people who have never been to a Husky football game and let them experience the atmosphere here with people from the same area.”
Also during the game, several Seattle sports mascots will attend the game and members of the public will be able to meet and take pictures with them. And there are other fun surprise activities planned that Brown said community members will have to attend to find out.
The football match will start at 7:30 p.m. on September 3 and discounted tickets start at $15.
Husky Stadium is located at 3800 Montlake Blvd. NE in Seattle.
